Delete your Flagkeeper account

Flagkeeper works without an account. If you signed in with Apple or Google to back up your progress, you can delete the account and its backup at any time.

Delete it in the app

  1. Open Flagkeeper and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Tap Account & backup, then Delete account.
  3. Hold Hold to delete for 2 seconds.
  4. Sign in again when the app asks. Apple and Google require a recent sign-in. The app then deletes the account.

The app then clears its progress on that phone too and starts again from the welcome screen.

What is deleted, and when

Both are deleted at once. If the app can't finish, for example because the connection drops, a daily cleanup deletes what is left within 24 hours.

Our daily backup copies keep the data for up to 30 days after that, then they are gone too.

Mistake reports you sent about a flag are not linked to your account. A report keeps the email address you typed into it, if any, until 90 days after we have handled it.

Can't use the app?

Email support@flagkeeper.app from the address of your account with the subject "Delete my account". We delete the account and its data within 30 days and reply when it is done.

Signed in with Apple and hid your email? Write from the address Apple forwards our mail from. You can find it in your Apple Account settings under Sign in with Apple.

Signed in with Apple on Android

On an iPhone the app also tells Apple to forget Flagkeeper. On Android it can't, so Flagkeeper stays in your list of apps that use Sign in with Apple. To remove it, open Settings, tap your name, then Sign-In & Security and Sign in with Apple on an iPhone, iPad or Mac, or sign in at account.apple.com, choose Flagkeeper and stop using Sign in with Apple.
