Terms of use
Last updated October 25, 2026
These terms apply when you use the Flagkeeper app and this website. By using the app you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what we do with your data.
Who we are
Flagkeeper is made by ngCommit s.r.o., Jičínská 226/17, Žižkov, 130 00 Prague 3, Czech Republic, company ID (IČO) 07281056, VAT ID CZ07281056. You can reach us at support@flagkeeper.app.
The app is free
Flagkeeper is free to use. It has no ads, and this version has nothing to buy. If we add paid features later, we will update these terms before they arrive.
Using the app
You may use Flagkeeper to learn for yourself. Please don't:
- try to get into other players' accounts or backups
- attack, overload or get around the protection of our backend
- send reports that are abusive, spam or not about the flags
- copy, sell or publish the app or parts of it without our permission
If someone misuses the service, we may block their access to the account and backup.
Your account
You don't need an account. If you sign in with Apple or Google to back up your progress, Apple's or Google's own terms apply to that sign-in too. Keep your Apple or Google account safe, since anyone who can sign in to it can see and change your Flagkeeper progress.
The backup runs on a free service with daily limits. On a very busy day, sign-in and sync may not work until the next day. The app keeps working on your phone, and your progress there stays complete.
You can delete your account at any time, in the app or as described on the account deletion page. We delete accounts that haven't been used for 24 months, as the privacy policy explains.
Flags, names and sources
We check the flags and country names with care, but mistakes can happen and flags change. If you find one, report it in the app. The flags and names are there to help you learn. They don't express a view on the status of any country or territory.
The flag images come from Wikimedia Commons, each under its own license. The map comes from Natural Earth (public domain), the country data from Wikidata (CC0), and the fonts are under the SIL Open Font License. The app lists the license and author of every flag under Profile, About Flagkeeper, Flag sources & licences. Those licenses, not these terms, govern that material.
No guarantees
We provide Flagkeeper as it is. We work to keep it running and its data correct, but we can't promise that it is free of errors, always available, or that a backup can never be lost.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost progress or for indirect damage from using the app. This doesn't limit our liability where the law doesn't allow it, such as for damage we cause on purpose or through gross negligence, and it doesn't take away your rights as a consumer.
App stores
The terms of the App Store or Google Play also apply to downloading and updating the app. If you got Flagkeeper from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies as well.
Changes
We post every change to these terms on this page and update the date at the top. If you don't agree with a change, stop using the app and delete your account if you have one.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
